Donate

Money accomplishes things.  Prior to forming the Gates Foundation, in his Harvard Commencement Address, Bill Gates said:  "If you believe that every life has equal value, it's revolting to learn that some lives are seen as worth saving and some are not"  The second richest man in the world; Warren Buffet followed suit by donating the majority of his wealth to the Gates Foundation.  His rationale was that (his) "gift" was nothing.  I can have everything I need with one percent of my wealth.  The people I really admire are the small donors who give up a movie or a restaurant meal to help needier people."

Donations are the driving force behind any non-profit organization.  Ours is no different.  As a non-profit organization our survival depends upon the kindness and generosity of friends and members of the community.  We use all money donated to assist those in need.  Our budget is small and realistic.  An while we do not have or seek donations from the likes of the first and second riches men in the world, we do get them from persons who donate small amounts and sacrifice small luxuries.  Those are our heroes.  The support that we receive from The City of Boyne City in overseeing grant applications, from Businesses such as our local supermarkets, hair salons, hardware stores and other retail establishments, and the donations we receive from community groups such as the Eagles, and our churches are the monies that are used to keep our doors open, our lights on and our doctor's determination to move forward with this endeavor.
